International EUIndia Grid2Material Science, Climate Change & Interoperability

Workshop December 13-16, 2010, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India

Hosted by IIT Delhi, and jointly organized by the EU—IndiaGRID2 project, the workshop introduced the EU-IndiaGrid computing environment addressing especially the user communities in  the research area. The Workshop Agenda was mainly dedicated to the applications in the field of Material Science and Climate Change while a special session  focused on Interoperability - with particular reference to EU-IndiaGrid2 and GARUDA infrastructures.

EU-India Grid 2 and CompChem: COST Training School on Molecular and Material Science Grid Applications

 

International Centre for Theoretic Physics (ICTP), Trieste

This hands-on school aimed at presenting the Grid activities, tools and applications developed and implemented in molecular and material science within the COST D37 Action in collaboration with the EGEE/COMPCHEM and EU-IndiaGRID projects.
Target audience were young scientists active in computational molecular and material science interested in performing their activities on grid infrastructures.

Hands on Training School on Molecular and Material Science GRID Applications

This hands-on school aimed at presenting the Grid activities, tools and applications developed and implemented in Chemistry and Material Sciences within the COST D37 Action and EUINDIAGRID project. Target audience were young scientists active in computational molecular and materials science interested in carrying out their activities on grid infrastructures.For this purpose, during the school, basic software tools, computer programs and some successful case studies were illustrated and discussed. Participants were  encouraged to take along their own applications in order to enable them on the Grid infrastructures during the hands on sessions.
