EU-India Grid Events

EUIndiaGrid EventsEU-IndiaGrid2 is driving the sustainability of EU-Indian Grid infrastructure by connecting with user communities in both Europe and India. EU-IndiaGrid2 is organising 4 thematic workshops during the lifetime of the project on Climate Change, Biology, High Energy Physics and Material Science; as well as an international conference in 2011 at ICTP, Trieste, Italy. Partners are also actively participating at international conferences presenting updates and achievements on the project.

Description

The Cambridge eScience Centre is based in the Cavendish Laboratory at the University of Cambridge. It is part of the Centre for Scientific Computing. We offer advice and support on large scale distributed computing, normally in the context of collaborating with you on research council funded projects.

The main objectives of the CeSC are:

* To coordinate and maintain CamGrid, the university's federated computational grid.
* To support research projects involving scientists and industry in the Cambridge region.
* To enable new scientific advances by using novel computing paradigms to tackle Peta-scale problems.
* To develop new generic tools for massive data handling, high-perfomance computing and visualisation applications on wide area networks.
