Description
The EGI Technical Forum 2010 will be the first major event within the EGI community and will bring together European distributed computing projects and their collaborators in academia and businesses, from around Europe and around the world. In doing so it will provide an ideal venue for, the developers, end-users, resource providers and decision makers involved in these projects to meet and discuss the continued transition to a sustainable production grid infrastructure for Europe.
The major theme of the meeting, achieved through technical sessions, a demonstration and exhibition area, networking space and events, will be to establish collaborations between the new and the current European Distributed Computing Infrastructure projects to meet the needs and requirements of the research community. EGI will enable the next leap forward in Research Infrastructures, supporting collaborative scientific endeavour across the European Research Area. The European Grid Infrastructure today supports thousands of researchers and scientists around the world, helping them to meet their daily e-science challenges.
EU-IndiaGrid2 will play an important role in the event with project coordinator Alberto Masoni (right) part of the conference Programme Committee. EU-IndiaGrid2 will also organise a "Regional Projects" session dedicated to the relationships and interoperation between EGI and extra-EU e-Infrastructures.

Description
The Beurs van Berlage was built between 1898 and 1903 by order of the municipality of Amsterdam. The architect was Mr. Hendrik Petrus Berlage (1865-1934). In the Golden Age Amsterdam was the first place in the world to create a fixed location for the trade in stocks and shares (1611). Three hundred years later Berlage built the third Amsterdam Stock Exchange (1903); a building that generated a lot of controversy and, today, is considered the beginning of modern Dutch architecture.
